President

LEO DIAZ serves as a public affairs manager in UPS’s Washington, DC, Corporate Public Affairs office. Leo is responsible for the management of legislative and global regulatory security issues and acts as the organization’s liaison to various agencies dealing with security, critical infrastructure, preparedness and the movement of hazardous materials.

A native of Havana, Cuba and raised in Northern New Jersey, Leo earned his Bachelor’s in Business Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Since joining UPS in March 1987, Leo has served a number of roles including Director of Security for the Company’s South Florida, Louisville, KY and New Jersey distribution operations. In addition to other security related duties, he assisted in the integration of a newly acquired subsidiary’s Latin American operations.

Diaz also has coordinated various workshops pertaining to the roles and responsibilities of Security personnel worldwide and was instrumental in the development of a national automated package system.

Leo maintains his commitment to the community as an active volunteer and serves on the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s Board of Directors as well as the Hispanic Lobbyist Association.
