Cristina Antelo is a Principal at the Podesta Group where she handles a diverse range of legislative, administrative, and policy issues. She represents national and international clients on health care, litigation, trademark, appropriations, and trade issues before the Executive Branch, Congress, and the courts. Ms. Antelo counsels her clients on the development and implementation of comprehensive strategic plans to address specific needs or broader policy interests that require attention by the federal government.

Ms. Antelo serves on the board of the Hispanic Bar Association of DC Foundation. She is a founding member of the Hispanic Lobbying Association and in late 2007 was elected to its board. Before joining the Podesta Group, Ms. Antelo was a Legal Fellow on the Senate Democratic Steering Committee chaired by Senators Hillary Clinton and Tom Daschle, focusing her work on Latino outreach and constituent issues.

Prior to her legal career, Ms. Antelo was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs & Co for several years. She was a financial analyst in the company’s Private Wealth Management Division in New York with an operational focus on high-net-worth individuals. Her responsibilities included margin account management, compliance with regulatory requirements, and reporting. Ms. Antelo later joined the trading floor in Los Angeles to gain trading and portfolio management expertise and was promoted to associate. She was a NASD (now FINRA) Registered Representative completing her Series 7 and 63 licenses.
