Rosemary Garza, Board Member At-Large

ROSEMARY GARZA joined Medtronic, Inc. in April 2007 as Senior Manager of Government Affairs. In this capacity, she monitors healthcare policy issues and advocates on behalf of one of the biggest global leaders in medical technology. As a Government Affairs Representative, Ms. Garza is responsible for ensuring patients receive access to important life-saving therapies by supporting and promoting key policy initiatives. Ms. Garza comes to her role at Medtronic, Inc., with over 7 years of Capitol Hill experience.

Prior to joining Medtronic, Inc., Ms. Garza served as Senior Legislative Assistant to Energy and Commerce Committee Member Charles A. Gonzalez (TX). In this capacity, she handled all of his healthcare policy committee work for his San Antonio constituency.

Additionally, prior to her work for Congressman Gonzalez, Ms. Garza also worked for Congressman Gene Green (TX), Member of the Energy and Commerce Committee. For two years, she served his Houston constituency by handling various policy issues including healthcare and immigration.

Ms. Garza is originally from Houston, Texas where she graduated from the University of Houston with a B.A. in Political Science and a Minor in Spanish. She is an active member of Women in Government Relations, Inc. and the Texas State Society. Ms. Garza is an avid tennis player and a member of the Capitol Hill Tennis Club.
