Angela Arboleda

Candidate for Treasurer
Statement of Intent

I believe that diverse representation in all professions is critical to achieve the broadest set of opinions and information. As a lobbyist, I believe that the profession is stronger when there is a diversity of perspectives on how to achieve strategic policy outcomes. That is why I believe in the mission of the Hispanic Lobbyists Association (HLA). HLA affords new and more experienced lobbyists with the ability to stay connected to other Latinos who have various views of the Latinx community in political and policy matters.

I want to continue serving HLA as Treasurer as I believe the experience I've gained over the past year will serve the association well to maintain the financial stability and well-being of the organization especially as it grows its membership and programmatic portfolio. I believe that as a seasoned professional and lobbyist I can serve the organization best as Treasurer maintaining the fiduciary responsibilities of the association while allowing me the ability to mentor other newer board members as we position the association's profile on the Hill and on K Street.
