Congresswoman Salinas represents Oregon’s 6th Congressional District and has a distinguished career in public policy and government. She previously worked for U.S. Senator Harry Reid and Representatives Pete Stark and Darlene Hooley. She later served in the Oregon Legislature, including as Majority Whip and Chair of the House Committee on Health Care, and founded her own political consulting firm.

In Congress, she sits on the House Committees on Agriculture and Science, Space, and Technology. Her legislative priorities include agriculture and nutrition, rural communities, science and technology, and mental health and addiction care. She also serves as Vice Chair of Member Engagement for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and co-chairs the bipartisan Congressional Mental Health Caucus.
