Congressman Tony Gonzales represents Texas’s 23rd District, the largest stretch of the U.S.–Mexico border in Congress, and is now serving his third term. A retired Master Chief Petty Officer with twenty years of military service, Rep. Gonzales deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and across Asia before rising into the top one percent of the Navy’s enlisted ranks. He now sits on the Appropriations and Homeland Security committees and chairs the Congressional Hispanic Conference, where he focuses on national security and issues affecting Hispanic communities.
