Hispanic Lobbyists Association Elects All-Female Executive Committe

Washington, D.C. – On December 10th, the membership of the Hispanic Lobbyists Association (HLA) elected its 2020 Board of Directors in the organization’s most competitive leadership election in the past few years.


HLA members elected an all-female Executive Committee for the second-year in a row, while the larger 2020 Board welcomes new and returning Board members spanning the private and nonprofit sectors of the advocacy industry. Members of Congress including Reps. Pete Aguilar, Lucille Roybal- Allard, Cheri Bustos, Tony Cardenas, and Darren Soto attended HLA’s election and year-end celebration to congratulate the new Board and tout HLA’s remarkable growth.

“On behalf of HLA’s Board of Directors, we are grateful for our members’ confidence in our leadership and vision,” said Liz Lopez, HLA President. “HLA is the strongest it has ever been, thanks to our amazing membership. We look forward to building on existing programs and working on new initiatives that will enable our membership to grow its presence and influence.”
